There is always something to do on Hilton Head Island!
Hilton Head Island is full of events throughout the year, so there's always something fun to do! Whether you're looking for live music, outdoor activities, or cultural events, you'll find plenty of options. Spring and Fall are the most popular times of the year for festivals and events…primarily due to the fantastic weather Hilton Head Island experiences during those seasons. However, there are still a number of events that happen during the summer & winter months.
Check out the list of events below that are open to the public. Some do require a small admission charge, but many can be experienced just by visiting. Almost all of them are family friendly as well. After you've booked your Hilton Head Island vacation rental, be sure to check back often as we will be updating this page as new events are announced! You will not want to miss out on any of the fun!
Sea Pines Fourth of July Parade
Harbour Town
Starts: 8:30 AM
Show off your red, white and blue spirit by decorating your bicycle, wagon, dog or kids for this fun-filled parade around Harbour Town. Meet in the parking lot adjacent to the Quarterdeck at 8:30am to register and pick up decorating supplies. Parade lineup begins promptly at 9:30am and entries will be judged on patriotism. Supplies limited to first 100 registered. Following the parade, join us for some games and activities at the Fourth of July Carnival on the lawn in Harbour Town.

Join us every Wednesday from 7:00pm–8:00pm(June through August)
Volunteers will help prepare the beach for nesting sea turtles by filling in holes, knocking down sandcastles, and removing trash.Learn how your actions can make a difference for Hilton Head Island’s nesting sea turtles!Meet at the large blue chair between the volleyball courts and the Tiki Hut Bar.Look for your guides in light blue shirts.

Summer Jams and Fireworks
Shelter Cove Community Park

The Island Recreation Association is proud to bring you a fun-filled, festive atmosphere with the highlight of the night's fireworks, which start around 9 p.m. Kids of all ages can enjoy inflatable bounce houses and face painting for a minimal fee. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the fireworks!

Enjoy the splendor of Harbour Town – and some great deals – at the Harbour Town Fall Fest. Festivities include a Harbour Town Shops sidewalk sale, local favorite Deas- Guyz performing a mix of music; nautical activities, including watersports, tours and boat rides; dining on the harbour; and children’s activities. The Carolina Dreamers Car Club will have a selection of classic cars on display.

Join us in Harbour Town for a fun day with Fido. The event will feature raffles, a DJ, dog activities, including our famous pupcake walk, and more. Hilton Head Humane will have dogs available for adoption.

Historic Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival 2026

Celebrate 22 years of tradition with plenty of activities showcasing locally harvested seafood and Lowcountry cuisine while highlighting the rich history and culture of the area.
