Welcome to this distinctive vacation property managed locally by Island Time Hilton Head.

This spacious home embodies beach cottage vibes with its open layout and tastefully decorated interior! Soaring ceilings and lots of windows provide the great room with plenty of natural sunlight. In the living room, you will find plenty of plush seating around the brick fireplace (not for guest use), a flat-screen TV, and an array of board games that await you in the cabinet. perfect for a movie marathon or family game night! The kitchen is fully stocked and updated with stainless steel appliances, marble countertops, and three additional dining seats at the bar. The formal dining table can seat up to four people.

The first 2 bedrooms can be found on the main level, down the hallway from the living room. The master bedroom features a beautifully woven king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and direct access to the master bathroom. The master bathroom has a double vanity, walk-in shower, and huge whirlpool tub to give you the ultimate spa experience! The second bedroom sits adjacent to this room and features a queen-sized bed. This bedroom shares access to the master bathroom via the hallway.

A few steps down the whimsical spiral staircase will lead you to the lower level of the home. Relax in the second living room and watch a few of your favorites on the flatscreen TV, or warm up with an invigorating game of ping-pong! The remaining 2 bedrooms can be found down here as well; the third bedroom offers 2 twin-sized beds along with a flat-screen TV and shares access to the jack-and-jill bathroom with the fourth bedroom. The fourth bedroom features 2 bunk beds to offer 4 twin-sized beds in total. The lower level of the home is perfect for children or teens and also leads you directly to the private pool!

The outdoor space is sure to be your favorite spot on those summer days! Enjoy ample seating on the expansive screened in porch, outdoor dining, a propane grill, and a private pool all within the comfort of your fenced-in yard! 31 Sand Dollar Road
This house is nice. It was clean and the location to the beach was great with just a short walk through the wooded path. We enjoyed the pool as well. The only thing that I did not like was the bathrooms set up. There is one bathroom with a very small shower and huge tub upstairs and one small bathroom downstairs. It is kind of difficult to access the shower downstairs because the space between the toilet and the sink is so small. Other than that, I would recommend this place.

Great location
Great location with amazing proximity to the beach. Quiet neighborhood with quick drive to local amenities. Older home that makes for a good family property with recreation area downstairs. House needs some TLC as it was in need of cleaning on the exterior. Really needed a pressure washing as it was pretty rough outside. Interior is as pictured and clean. Really great screened in front porch! Would recommend to a friend based on location and interior but the exterior needs to be addressed.

31 Sand Dollar
We had planned on a two week vacation at 31 Sand Dollar; however hurricane Helene hit our home town very hard. We contacted Island Time to see if we could get in propert early and they quickly made every possible accommodation for us to escape the hurricane bedlam at home. We are very grateful to the staff at Island Time! The property was and just as posted. Location is perfect for us as we had other families in the Folly Field area during our stay. Also, beach is a quick 5 min walk away. We will back! Some minor maintenance and updating would make property better.

PERFECT beach house
This beach house was an absolute dream! By far the BEST family vacation we have ever had. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach down a cute shaded pathway. And the ability to jump in your private pool whenever you like made it absolutely amazing. You are just minutes away from shopping and restaurants which made everything so convenient. The house itself is so clean and had everything we needed! You would never know that other people have stayed here, truly felt like home away from home. We loved that we were on a very quiet street and enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony each day. We will certainly be back in the future!

Fun beach house
My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this beach house! We thought the walk to the beach was a fun, adventurous trip through the foliage. The pool was great to play in, even in September. The house had everything we needed and we had zero issues to reach out about. Communication was easy and with quick responses, too. We would absolutely stay here again! Only gripe would be how frequently people turn around on the dead end road but not a deal breaker!

Great Beach House
We loved the home and its close proximity to the beach. It was about a 3 min walk to the beach. The home is comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We loved hanging out on the porch and by the pool.

We loved are time at 31 Sand Dollar! There was plenty of room for our Family of 8! The kitchen is updated and is well appointed with dishes and cookware. The beds are comfortable. Although the pool is in heated, it got lots of use by our grandchildren.

Amazing Location
31 Sand Dollar was everything we expected. Clean, re-modeled interior, huge front porch, comfortable living spaces and a beautiful pool. The house and property was on a quiet dead end street across from the beach with the beach path conveniently right next to the house for the 2 min walk to the beach. The kitchen is wonderful with everything you could need. The screened in porch is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy listening to the ocean. We had a great experience with the management team from start to end. I would highly recommend this house to everyone!!

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND 

Hilton Head Island's beach is crucial to both residents and the local economy. To preserve this valuable resource, the Town has planned a beach restoration project for Summer 2025, funded primarily by tourism through the local Beach Preservation Fee.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
  • The 2025 beach renourishment is expected to be similar to the previous projects in 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2016.
  • The proposed project will include the placement of approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas along about 46,500 ft of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  • This project is part of the Town's ongoing beach management program, with renourishment scheduled every 8 to 10 years, depending on weather and beach conditions.
  • Pine Island in Hilton Head Plantation will be included in the 2025 restoration. 
SAND PLACEMENT

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

  1. South Beach / South Island - Approximately 750,000 cubic yards of sand along approximately 10,230 feet of the southern Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  2. Central Island - Approximately 700,000 cubic yards along 28,860 feet of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  3. The Heel - Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sand along 5,280 feet at the northeast point of the island at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  4. Fish Haul Creek - Approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand along about 2,130 feet of Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  5. Pine Island - Approximately 180,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand and construction of six rock breakwaters on the Port Royal Sound shoreline of Hilton Head Plantation between Dolphin Head and Pine Island.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The nourishment sand will be excavated by hydraulic dredge from two offshore shoal features.

  • Up to 50,000 feet of pipeline will be trucked or floated to the island by way of large rafts, then moved onto the beach.
  • The pipeline will be piled in stacks along the shoreline until needed during construction.
  • During construction, many miles of pipeline will be submerged on the ocean floor between the offshore borrow sites and the beach.
  • The rest of the pipeline will be laid progressively along the newly constructed beach as the fill sand is pumped on shore.

The dredge will pump a mixture of sand and seawater through the pipeline, and will discharge it onto the beach.

  • There, it will flow parallel to the shoreline - allowing the sand to settle out and the water to return to the sea.
  • Bulldozers and other heavy construction machinery will constantly shape the sand to meet the design specifications.

Project construction is expected to last approximately six months, operating around the clock.

  • On average, the process should move along the shoreline at a rate of about 200 to 300 feet per day.
  • As the fill placement progresses, approximately 1,000 foot sections of the beach are closed temporarily to pedestrian access.
  • Several days of work activity will occur seaward of any one piece of oceanfront property in the 1,000 foot active work area along the beach.
  • Once placed and rough-graded, the new beach is immediately reopened to the public.
IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS
  • Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
  • Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
  • Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
