130 Mooring Buoy is a beautiful 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath luxury home nestled in the beautiful Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. Just three rows from the beach, this home is meticulously designed for your perfect vacation.

With an open first-floor layout, the entire family can spread out without missing out on all the fun activities. The brand-new chef's kitchen features top-of-the line stainless steel appliances. It is fully stocked with every tool you may need for delicious gourmet meals.

Just off the main living space are two spacious bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom, as well as a private office for the perfect “work from anywhere” set-up. On the second level, you will find three more bedrooms as well as a large den featuring two additional twin beds built into the wall. On the ground floor, off the large garage, you will find a game room equipped with a ping-pong table ready for even the most competitive of players.

The backyard features a private pool and spa, as well as a well-equipped outdoor kitchen with a top-of-the-line grill and beverage fridge.

Only a short 3-minute walk to the beach, this property will facilitate the perfect family getaway, making memories that will last a lifetime!

Key Features:

- Proximity to the beach: 3 minute walk

- The pool and spa can be heated for an additional charge, give us a call for heating rates and to make arrangements. Pool and spa heat must be scheduled at 14 days prior to arrival. Additional fees apply for last minute requests prior to arrival or after arriving at the property. If the weather drops below 60 degrees, the pool may not be capable of being heated and or reaching optimal temperature.

Week at 130 Mooring Buoy

The 130 Mooring Buoy house was incredible! The week started with a major storm which lead to a cable and internet outage. Given we had folks that had to work, the folks at Island Time stayed in touch and even brought us a hot spot since the outage lasted 4 days. I would definitely rent with them again! With regard to the house, it was clean, roomy and updated. It also was close to the beach and was easy to cart the kids and all our things back and forth. I'd definitely would recommend it to others, and we'll definitely consider it again next year!

Amazing Super Clean Home

We recently stayed at 130 Mooring Buoy from 6/21-6/28. We have been staying at properties on the island for over 10 years and this was the nicest/cleanest property by far. The home has all the features and shows very little wear. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge. There are wet bars and refrigerators on every floor. All the furnishing are clean and comfortable. The elevator makes getting all your luggage in and out a breeze. The screened in porch and outdoor kitchen were our favorites. The pool was very warm and a little shallow, but was still a nice reprieve while the beach had no breeze. There is a nice path behind the house that makes a walk to the beach very quick. Island Time was great to work with. They communicated very well through text and were prompt and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Home Away From Home

Our stay at 130 Mooring Buoy was amazing! This home is hands down the best vacation rental property we have experienced. It is absolutely beautiful and there is nothing that has been overlooked. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of glassware, dishes and cooking necessities. The layout of the home provided more than ample space for our family - there were 10 of us to include two grandchildren ages 2 and 5. We love this neighborhood with the beautiful winding walking/biking trails throughout. The short walk to the beach (2 min walk) through the shaded pathway was so convenient. The beach itself is pristine and never crowded! We enjoyed the pool area and grilling area as well! Island Time was extremely professional and attentive throughout our experience beginning to end with clear communication and responsiveness. Thank you!

Hands down...THE BEST!

Without question, this was the best rental we've had in the Hilton Head area to date! From its pristine condition, to all of the extras, to our proximity to the beach, we couldn't have asked for more. The layout was perfect for our party of 12, which was made up of one set of grandparents and two families of five. Everyone had enough space without there ever being a concern of overcrowding. The pool and deck area were wonderful, and the perfect week of weather we had only added to our enjoyment of outside space. A luxurious home away from home

We were thrilled to stay in this beautiful home! All of us at different times said we wish we owned this house, even the grandchildren. We felt it was living in simple elegance the entire week. The bathrooms were great with wonderful showers and tub, the outside area with pool and hot tub were our afternoon mainstay. The wonderful kitchen stove and countertop space allowed us to cook many meals together.The upstairs was a dream for the grandchildren with the cozy nooks loved by all. another feature we thoroughly enjoyed was the beautiful porch space with ceiling fan and heaters if needed! bringing in groceries with an elevator was most helpful to us also. I could go on and on... location fabulous we cant wait to come back.

Best HH home ever!

We go to HH annually and each year we stay in a different home. This year 130 Mooring Buoy is our new annual favorite home! From the crisp cleanliness to the location of the beach.. idk what was better. We had a couple issues that the Island Home addressed almost immediately but it was nothing that will make us deter from this being our new fav! You will love everything about this house!

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND

The Town of Hilton Head Island's 2026 Beach Renourishment Project began on August 6, 2025 at Fish Haul Beach, located off Mitchelville Road on the Island's north end. This vital initiative, part of the Town's long-term beach management program, is undertaken every 8 to 10 years and aims to preserve, protect, and restore Hilton Head's valuable shoreline.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The 2026 renourishment will mirror past efforts (1990, 1997, 2006, 2016) and involves placing approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach-compatible sand across 46,500 feet of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline. Sand will be dredged from offshore shoals and pumped through extensive pipeline systems onto designated beach areas, then shaped by heavy machinery to meet specific design standards.

CONSTRUCTION TIMELINE

The $47.5 million project is divided into three phases, with work expected to last until May 2026:

Phase I:

Complete - Contractor mobilizes in August 2025
Complete - Weeks of August 13, 2025 thru September 12, 2025 - Fish Haul area
Complete - Weeks of September 18, 2025 thru October 10, 2025 - Pine Island
Complete - Weeks of October 11, 2025 thru October 17, 2025 - Port Royal (The Heel)

Phase II:

Weeks of December 11, 2025 thru March 28, 2026 - Central Island, including beach areas along Palmetto Dunes
Weeks of March 28, 2026 thru May 31, 2026 - South Island and South Beach areas.

Phase III:

Weeks of November 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026 - Pine Island Breakwater Structures

TEMPORARY CLOSURES AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

During the renourishment, about 1,000-foot beach segments will be temporarily closed, with beachgoers directed around active work zones via ramps and signage. Construction is expected to proceed 24/7, moving at a pace of 200-300 feet per day, with minor disruptions lasting just a few days for any specific beachfront property

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

Fish Haul Creek — 2,130 feet
Pine Island — 5,280 feet
Port Royal / The Heel — 5,280 feet

WILDLIFE PROTECTIONS

The project includes safeguards for endangered species. Activities are monitored by consultants to protect sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Per U.S. Army Corps and USFWS permit conditions, dog activity is restricted in a small area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek Beach Park. All other beaches remain under normal seasonal pet access rules.

FUNDING AND MANAGEMENT

IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS

Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
