This townhome is perfectly situated only a few short steps away from the Turnberry Village swimming pool, sun deck, and recreation area. This is a great spot to unwind after a long day at the beach, which is only a short 10-minute bike ride away.
The world-famous Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort is a 2000-acre community that stretches from the 3 miles of white sandy beaches through 11 miles of lagoons, 3 golf courses, and 25 tennis and pickleball courts. There is also a convenient bikeway or walkway under William Hilton Parkway that provides access to the Shelter Cove Marina and Towne Center, which feature a plethora of world-class shops and restaurants.

The Town of Hilton Head Island's 2026 Beach Renourishment Project began on August 6, 2025 at Fish Haul Beach, located off Mitchelville Road on the Island's north end. This vital initiative, part of the Town's long-term beach management program, is undertaken every 8 to 10 years and aims to preserve, protect, and restore Hilton Head's valuable shoreline.
The 2026 renourishment will mirror past efforts (1990, 1997, 2006, 2016) and involves placing approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach-compatible sand across 46,500 feet of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline. Sand will be dredged from offshore shoals and pumped through extensive pipeline systems onto designated beach areas, then shaped by heavy machinery to meet specific design standards.
The $47.5 million project is divided into three phases, with work expected to last until May 2026:

During the renourishment, about 1,000-foot beach segments will be temporarily closed, with beachgoers directed around active work zones via ramps and signage. Construction is expected to proceed 24/7, moving at a pace of 200-300 feet per day, with minor disruptions lasting just a few days for any specific beachfront property

The project includes safeguards for endangered species. Activities are monitored by consultants to protect sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Per U.S. Army Corps and USFWS permit conditions, dog activity is restricted in a small area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek Beach Park. All other beaches remain under normal seasonal pet access rules.

We really enjoyed our time at this property. Tons of room for our family of 5 and great access to the beach and pool while still being private and peaceful. The kitchen is very updated and equipped with everything we needed. Absolutely loved this property. We booked a last minute get away and was blown away by this place. Location was fantastic. 10 minute bike ride to the beach. Was able to walk to pickle ball and the general store. Loved the Turnberry community. Everyone was so lovely. Check in was seamless and quick. Property manager was easy to get a hold of via text if need be. The unit was perfect for our party. Would love to visit again. Only thing to note, is golf balls are something you need to keep an eye out for. Unit is located where golfers land their shot off the tee. If golfers aren’t yelling ‘fore’, it can be a tad dangerous. Overall a great family vacation!!!Posted: 4/2/2022
