Located in Palmetto Dunes and only a few minutes walk to the beach, this four bedroom home has all you need for the perfect stay on the island. 3 Cartgate offers four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, large spacious rooms, an open kitchen and private pool!
As you walk into the home, the first floor features a spacious living room that connects to the dining room with seating for 8, powder room and kitchen! Also on the first floor is king master bedroom with en-suite bath. The en-suite had a large garden tub and separate shower.
The next bedroom is just up the stairs on the mid floor and also features a king bed and en-suite bathroom. The second floor hosts the last two guest bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin beds and en-suite bath with a tub/shower combination. The final bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. Each bedroom has a TV and ceiling fan as well.
Enjoy being outside on the upper deck or large pool deck while watching friends and family in the pool.

-The pool can be heated for an additional charge, give us a call for heating rates and to make arrangements. Pool heat must be scheduled at 14 days prior to arrival. Additional fees apply for last minute requests prior to arrival or after arriving at the property. If the weather drops below 60 degrees, the pool may not be capable of being heated and or reaching optimal temperature.

The Town of Hilton Head Island's 2026 Beach Renourishment Project began on August 6, 2025 at Fish Haul Beach, located off Mitchelville Road on the Island's north end. This vital initiative, part of the Town's long-term beach management program, is undertaken every 8 to 10 years and aims to preserve, protect, and restore Hilton Head's valuable shoreline.
The 2026 renourishment will mirror past efforts (1990, 1997, 2006, 2016) and involves placing approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach-compatible sand across 46,500 feet of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline. Sand will be dredged from offshore shoals and pumped through extensive pipeline systems onto designated beach areas, then shaped by heavy machinery to meet specific design standards.
The $47.5 million project is divided into three phases, with work expected to last until May 2026:

During the renourishment, about 1,000-foot beach segments will be temporarily closed, with beachgoers directed around active work zones via ramps and signage. Construction is expected to proceed 24/7, moving at a pace of 200-300 feet per day, with minor disruptions lasting just a few days for any specific beachfront property

The project includes safeguards for endangered species. Activities are monitored by consultants to protect sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Per U.S. Army Corps and USFWS permit conditions, dog activity is restricted in a small area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek Beach Park. All other beaches remain under normal seasonal pet access rules.

We spent two weeks at # Cartage in early April. House was in great neighbourhood, easy to walk to beach and bike rentals. Beachside getaway was prompt to respond to concerns and were very accommodating. We will definitely be back!!!Posted: 5/1/2024

This was an amazing house for our large family spring break! It was really big and spacious, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the location was amazing! It was a 12 minute walk to the beach. We also really liked the palmetto dunes resort. It felt secluded and safe. I highly recommend renting bikes! My only complaint is that the pool wasn't heated. It was pretty chilly for our 3 kids, and didn't get used hardly at all. But that's no fault of the management company as they were transparent that it wasn't heated. The management company was really great at communicating with us throughout the trip and gave great suggestions. We would definitely go back...maybe just at a later time in the year when the pool water was warmer!Posted: 4/9/2024
