Beautifully updated 3-bedroom villa in Shelter Cove. Come in, take a seat, and relax in the living room. The living room, kitchen, and dining room have an open layout. The kitchen has granite countertops, new stainless steel appliances, and smooth ceilings. The living room has plenty of seating to relax after a long day at the pool and beach. On the first level, the guest bedroom has a king bed. The guest bathroom has a combination tub and shower. The primary bedroom features a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a combination tub and shower.
Heading up the spiral staircase, you are met with an open and bright space. The lofted bedroom offers plenty of space with a great workspace and two double beds. This bedroom offers an ensuite bathroom with a combination tub and shower.
The private balcony overlooks the long, tranquil lagoon.
Notice: Roof replacement work is scheduled for this building beginning March 2, 2026 and is expected to be completed by March 14, 2026. During this time, parking near the building will be affected. Guests should plan to use nearby guest spaces or the overflow parking lot. Construction activity and noise can be expected during normal daytime hours. Please call Island Time at with any questions.

Shelter Cove is located mid-island and is convenient for accessing all parts of Hilton Head. However, you may never need to leave as there are so many things to do right outside your door. If water sports interest you, nearby you will find kayak and canoe rentals, fishing boat charters, jet-ski rentals, dolphin and sightseeing cruises, as well as dinner cruises. Rent a bicycle and take advantage of the miles and miles of bike paths that the island has to offer or pedal the short distance to the beach and spend the day in the sand and surf. Spend an afternoon shopping and dining at the many boutiques and restaurants located along the water's edge at the beautifully landscaped marina. You will also have use of the building's private pool, located within the gated grounds. As a guest at Shelter Cove, you will have access to all of the amenities that Palmetto Dunes has to offer such as the beach club, the Dunes House restaurant, 3 world class golf courses and fantastic tennis facilities. The Dunes Buggy is just a phone call away and is a free shuttle service that is available in season to take you anywhere within the Palmetto Dunes area, should you not have a car or choose not to drive. The Shelter Cove Shopping Center is conveniently located nearby, offering a Kroger grocery store, a variety of restaurants, and an array of shops to explore.

The Town of Hilton Head Island's 2026 Beach Renourishment Project began on August 6, 2025 at Fish Haul Beach, located off Mitchelville Road on the Island's north end. This vital initiative, part of the Town's long-term beach management program, is undertaken every 8 to 10 years and aims to preserve, protect, and restore Hilton Head's valuable shoreline.
The 2026 renourishment will mirror past efforts (1990, 1997, 2006, 2016) and involves placing approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach-compatible sand across 46,500 feet of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline. Sand will be dredged from offshore shoals and pumped through extensive pipeline systems onto designated beach areas, then shaped by heavy machinery to meet specific design standards.
The $47.5 million project is divided into three phases, with work expected to last until May 2026:

During the renourishment, about 1,000-foot beach segments will be temporarily closed, with beachgoers directed around active work zones via ramps and signage. Construction is expected to proceed 24/7, moving at a pace of 200-300 feet per day, with minor disruptions lasting just a few days for any specific beachfront property

The project includes safeguards for endangered species. Activities are monitored by consultants to protect sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Per U.S. Army Corps and USFWS permit conditions, dog activity is restricted in a small area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek Beach Park. All other beaches remain under normal seasonal pet access rules.

The Villa condo was the perfect size and location for our family vacation. The extra amenities (pool and hot tub) were an added bonus for our 9-year old granddaughter! I think she would still be floating around the pool if she could! Rooms were all clean and kitchen fully stocked with necessities for cooking and entertaining. 4 guys on a golf trip and looking for a place to stay. We didn't need fancy as we weren't planning on being in the unit except to sleep. The beds and couches were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The location, being mid-island, was great for access to everywhere on the island. We walked over to the HH Social kitchen for breakfast and the Mexican place for dinner. One thing to note is that this is a second floor unit with no elevator and there are additional stairs inside the unit. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you have mobility issues, you should go somewhere else. It's not on the beach, but overall, we were quite content and would stay here againPosted: 3/31/2025

I rented this villa for the month of October and I'm very familiar with the area, my son and his family reside on Hilton Head. Although this villa was not the one I originally rented, (I ended up with an upgrade due to unforeseen circumstances),it worked out very well for me. The Anchorage (Shelter Cove ) is in the area I always wanted to stay. The villa was comfortable. I enjoyed my morning walks along the marina to Star Bucks! We loved the location of this villa. Although very deceiving on the outside; the interior was huge and very clean. Inside you have a choice of sitting at the table or sitting at the counter on stools. Actually; my favorite place to sit was at the outdoor balcony situated in the back of the kitchen! There is a spacious living room as well as 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the main floor. Walking up the spiral staircase; you will find an AMAZING HUGE bedroom with another bathroom. Outside there is a pool for all to enjoy. We drove to a nearby marina and visited many shops and explored many restaurants. There is a terrific winery close by. As an extra bonus; there is a brewery across the street from the winery. The beaches are beautiful and free. No charge for parking. There are many delicious seafood restaurants in which we thoroughly enjoyed. A big treat for me was an ice cream store near by that had lactose free ice cream. Delicious!Posted: 3/12/2023
