8103 Wendover Dunes

Beautiful, clean, recently renovated and well appointed apartment located just a few minutes via walking path to the beach. We felt right at home and the property management staff were very responsive.

Our first time to HHI with our family (kids 3 & 5). We loved every bit of this vacation. The stay was a 10/10. Very clean, safe, well stocked, spacious, quiet, great area -- just as pictured. The proximity and accessibility to the beach is fantastic, and was awesome for our young children. We rented bikes and everything was communicated up front. Communication was top notch on all fronts -- big thanks! We'd definitely come back and stay in this unit. Kids (and adults) all had a blast!

This was our first trip to HHI, and I was overwhelmed with the options. I cannot say more about this property in Palmetto Dunes- it is beautiful, 30 seconds away from the pool, and not much farther to the beach. We swam late into the night, and always felt very safe. Palmetto dunes reminded me of our small town in Ohio- slow, but safe and easy. We filled our days with fishing, bike rides to play pickleball and a daily venture “out” somewhere: putt putt, trolley ride, shelter cove. The most we had to travel was to actually get TO the main street (Wendover Dunes is one of the last complexes in Palmetto Dunes). We did use the Dune Buggy service, which is another great perk. We visited other areas of the island, and I think we will always come back to Palmetto Dunes. It is central enough to go out but not nearly as crazy as Coligny. Specific to this property, I would recommend to anyone! The screened porch got a lot of use by our family of 7- it was a perfect extension to the house. Everything was beautiful, new and coastal. Thanks for being a great host and to Pam for being so quick to respond to simple questions.

Kitchen is well equipped and very spacious and beautiful. Master suite was wonderful with a small balcony. Large en suite bathroom with a double sink, shower, tub, toilet room and a large walk in closet with plenty of hangers. Our son and his family joined us for the second half of our vacation and their room was off of the family room separated by a door into a foyer of sort, one side was the bedroom with two queen beds and large walk in closet, on the other side of the foyer was a very spacious en suite bathroom with a double sink, shower, tub, and toilet room. There are games, cards and a checkers table. Our grandchildren enjoyed the full back porch and the warm swimming pool and of course the beautiful beach. They have four beach chairs and some beach towels. Don't hesitate on this rental, you won't be disappointed! Everything is as pictured. Five stars to Island Time, which is a great rental company! Ask for Haleigh.

We absolutely loved Palmetto Dunes. The condo was exactly as described and perfect in every way. Very short and easy walk to the beach or pool. The setting is beautiful and quiet. We loved spending the evening on the screened in porch. The condo is stocked with plenty of towels and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to stay in and cook. We would definitely book this property again!

As soon as we entered the Palmetto Dunes gated community, I knew my extensive research on HHI locations had paid off. Walking into this condo confirmed it. Exactly as described online. Beautiful condo, walking trail to beach, biking trails all around the property including beach biking. Short walk or bike ride to general store and tennis/pickle-ball courts. Beach bike ride distance to the Dunes House for drinks and beachside lunch. This property has it all. Condo itself was perfectly equipped with everything needed and the extra special touch by the management company to leave care packets of dish soap, laundry detergent, bath soap etc was appreciated. We brought our own beach towels and chairs (we drove from Florida so we had no problem traveling with chairs) but you could avoid this because these were neatly stored in the condo. I can’t say enough about this rental and rental company. Hopefully this condo is available when we plan our next trip.

House was beautifully decorated. Games, beach towels and beach chairs were generously shared by owner. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds and pillows were comfortable. TVs had cable provided thru Spectrum. We rented bikes which was fun. We played tennis every day because it was too cold to sit on the beach most days. Beach is a short walk away and is wide and gorgeous. We loved our stay!

8103 Wendover Dunes is absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean and situated perfectly for privacy and quiet. We’ve stayed in other WD condos, but this is by far the prettiest and coziest one. Just go out the door, hang a right and you are at the beach in 3 minutes. Hang a left and you are at the beautiful pool and spa area one minute. It’s perfect.

Really enjoyed our week at this property. Very close to beach, nice pool, beds very comfortable. Having two master suites was a plus and in addition there was a half bath also. Furniture was nice but need extra pillows for the backs as the seats were very deep. Overall excellent property. Would stay there again.

Very clean, well appointed and nice decor..surprised to find beach towels and low beach chairs to…excellent washing/drying machine….screened in porch with above street level views - private…only drawback were visitors above us who were jumping/thudding all across their unit…also, bbq area requires maintenance by overall wendover property management company.

The unit is beautifully decorated and most of it has been recently renovated. It was stocked with everything we needed and we especially appreciated having a powder room in addition to two full bathrooms. It truly is just a short walk to get to the beach. Since the weather was a litttle chilly for the beach, we enjoyed the heated pool and whirlpool. Island Time was a pleasure to deal with, and shout out to Felicia who tracked down and mailed a stuffed animal we left behind.
